Ok, first let me say… This was one of the cutest sessions ever! Carson was so adorable, and completely loved being in front of the camera! I used this antique finish because it fit her little personality oh so well. Thanks Liza and Scott for letting me love on your sweet little munchkin!

Such a sweetie

I bet I can vouch for almost all wedding vendors in saying that people often ask the question “Do you have any Bridezillas?” or “What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen at a wedding?” I can go ahead and say that probably most answers are “Yes”, and “Well I don’t know where to start…”
While gearing up for wedding season, we as vendors like to imagine the magical wedding that is awaiting us, and also as vendors, we all know things can happen. For instance, I began a wedding at Duke Chapel in Durham, North Carolina, at I believe 2:00PM and, well, the wedding actually took place at Duke Medical Center at half past Midnight. I also know of situations where a limo has backed over a photographer during a sparkle exit and a bridesmaid zipping a beautiful wedding gown INTO the dress bag… BEFORE the wedding. I know of bridesmaids fainting during the ceremony, and strip teases being performed by the groomsmen or bridesmaids after too many “signature cocktails”.. I am not wanting to scare all the lovely brides out there, because I assure you, all the things I spoke about worked out in the end.. However, you might know of something magical that happened at the wedding, like a surprise proposal for the maid of honor on the dance floor…I’ve seen that too.
So here is my proposition. I want to hear YOUR stories! Both the good and not so fab. After I speak to my bride from a few years ago (and get the okay) I will share the wedding at Duke complete with photos. :) As for you, I will have my girls check out your stories and post the best ones to my blog.. I don’t want anything terrible or fatal.. Just a little tale of “OH No She didn’t!
Please email stories to: YIKES!
We will be in touch with you prior to posting any story, please send along any photos or illustrations if you wish :)
Toodles loves!

Last January I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Cissie Graham, the grandaughter of Rev. Billy Graham to ASU’s Corey Lynch with a dear friend of mine Adam Barnes. It has recently been published on Weddings Unveiled’s Blog as a featured wedding. I really enjoyed this wedding, as it is always a pleasure working with Adam. :)

I am working like a mad woman trying to get all my sessions up to date, and posted for everyone before the holiday rush! I just wanted to let everyone know I am having the annual BOGO event, and orders can be placed through December 1st for holiday delivery. I will be posting photos as soon as possible, hopefully I can get all my weddings highlighted as well as portrait sessions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact my studio manager, Kennette (Kennette@acaldwellphoto.com)or myself (amanda@acaldwellphoto.com).
Thank you to everyone who has supported ACP this year and over the past 6 years! It is because of you, that I am able to live my dream!!! XOXOX

It was the most beautiful day to be in the mountains of NC! I spent the day with Jessica and Jeremiah in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC. If you have not been there, it is a must see! The quaint little town is nestled in the mountains 10 miles from Boone, NC with adorable shops and Kilwin’s. Need I say more!! Jessica and Jeremiah are getting married in October, and I could not be more happy for these two!! Thanks for the fun times today!! I will be posting more photos tomorrow… goodnight loves.
